Below is the Okinawa Goju-Ryu Shobukan Karate-Do kata list as it appears in the Shobukan dojo near Okinawa City, Okinawa, Japan. An English translation of the kata categories and names follows below the Japanese version.
The table below shows the kata category on the left side and the katas belonging to that category on the right. Certain categories have only one kata. In some cases a translation is provided, in others simply the meanings of kata's characters.
Gekisai (Dai Ichi & Dai Ni)
The first character means "Attack,"
the second means "Smash."
